Thank the Farmers |
Today, millions of Americans will gather around the Thanksgiving table with family and friends to enjoy a bountiful array of foods.
But, did you know that this week (November 20 - 26, 2009) is also National Farm-City Week? It's a week designed by the National Farm City Council, to highlight the important roles that urban and rural partnerships play in food production and to enhance the links between farm families and urban residents.
This makes it a great time to say "thank you" to those who grow our food. For today's Daily Action, offer gratitude to the farmers growing our food and read more about supporting local agriculture.

Approximately 13 million American children are at risk of hunger every day. The Child Nutrition Reauthorization bill would ensure quality, healthy and safe meals to children every school day. Urge Congress to support this bill and make sure America's children don't go hungry.
