No such thing as `clean coal``. Invest the money into solar or wind powered eneergy instead.

Some natural resources are limited so all countries should do everything in order to develop alternative sources of energy. It's possible for example to use methane which is produced by biodegradable waste, solar or wind energy, energy from radioactive materials which in fact is less harmful to nature than coal based energy. Most people don't know that coal based industry produces a lot of radioactive pollution as it's by product while good nuclear power plant doesn't produce highly radioactive waste. In this sense nuclear energy is in fact the cleanest energy which we have at our disposal at the moment. If we don't think ahead about running out of coal and crude oil we simply have no future ahead of us.

'clean coal' is simply propaganda. how long will it be before enough of us recognize that every time we deplete an unrenewable natural resource, it is gone forever. there is no such thing as clean coal. wind, solar, geothermal, biomass (of which cannabis is the best on the planet) are all better fuels than so called 'clean' coal.

There are countless of better options than clean coal. Its an oxymoron if anything. There's no point investing in a system that is ultimately based on cleaning up something dirty. Instead we should focus on lean ways of obtaining energy and work on making it more and more efficient.

Nothing that burns is clean by it's very nature. Anybody who knows anything about fire knows that.

Why not try something different? Wind Mills and Solar Energy. There is no pollution created by using these new technologies!

Folks who think that government is just in the way fail to understand that in a democracy the public is the government, and the government is charged with preserving the interests of the public. Private companies have chosen greed and wealth over civic responsibility. Sure it's easier to make a bunch of money if you trash the environment along the way. Too bad you can't keep all that pollution to yourself along with your stinking profits.

Fossil fuels represent carbon sequestered safely underground. Burning it releases carbon into the atmosphere. They are ripping mountains apart to get the coal that is left now. It's over.
